Thanksgiving in Boise

This year we headed to Boise to spend Thanksgiving with my family.  Luckily we had good weather both ways!  We were there November 22nd through December 1st.  It was so nice to have Jeff around and off work that long!  My dad too, so we were able to spend lots of time together.  

(The boys still had to work a lot but we still got to spend some time with them too...)

Shad LOVES Bo, as we all already know.  And we are continually impressed with how well Bo puts up with him and his crawling all over him, taking his toys, and mauling him, since he hasn't been around little kids much.  I guess all the rough housing my brothers do with him has been good for him?

Just us kids went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner one night.  It was fun to just go out and chat as siblings, especially without toddler distraction:

I love all my mom's holiday decorations and how much she gets into decorating for every season and holiday.  This is her tree that she keeps up year round and just changes the decor for...

We went out to eat at a pizza place in Meridian called Flatbread with my old high school buddies, Chrissy and Kylie, and their husbands.  I always try to see them at least once while home, and it was fun to all go out together this time.  We went back to Jon and Chrissy's afterwards to chat at make her famous Baker cookies.  It was a fun evening!

Saturday we went to check out the new "Village" shopping area, which reminded me a lot of City Creek or Gateway here in Utah.  We didn't do much, just walked around to see the sights for a few minutes.  It was really cold...

On our way home we stopped to visit with my Grandma for a few minutes.  She had this fun little book for Shad.  It was a Christmas book about the nativity story and it played much when you'd turn the pages.  He loved it, and still does.  He's requested it almost every night before bed...
