Christmas!

Our Christmas card this year:

Shad helping me decorate:

Someday I'll have as many decorations as my mom... I've always loved how her house completely transforms into a Christmas wonderland every December, but for now we have fun with a few decorations, window clings, and lights:

Shad loved the lights this year; he loved helping me go around and plug them all in when it started getting dark, which was great, since my belly was too big to easily do it myself...

My new Nativity (middle left) from my mom for my birthday this year:

Our neighbor treats this year: pads of paper and muddy buddies

Shad watching/ listening to the snow globes:

Presents!

My winter toes :)

We've had a lot of snow this year!

I thought the steam/ mist over the ponds near our house with the ducks, snow, and sunset made a pretty combo:

We drove home one weekend from Joey's wedding reception in this crazy snow storm... you couldn't even see the lines on the road!  Luckily there weren't many cars, so it was kinda fun to feel like we had free reign of the freeway!

The same 4 deer showed up in our backyard again, though not near as often as last winter:

We spent Christmas with Jeff's family in Lehi this year.

Because of the time difference we ended up talking to Tyler in the Philippines on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas Day:

All the kids after opening and changing into their Christmas pajamas:

We decided to stay the night at Amy and Tyler's instead of Jeff's parent's house, because that way we'd have a bed at their house and Nikki and Spencer would have one at the parent's house, and then Shad would have the kids to wake up with on Christmas morning.

We were really hungry on our way to Amy's so we stopped to get In-N-Out for the first time (for me...)  Then we drove around till Shad fell asleep.  It was a new Christmas Eve experience for us, but kinda fun.

Presents from Santa:

Shad slept on the couch cushions out in the family room:

Shad's stocking:

We didn't sleep very well, partly because we weren't in our own beds and I'm 9 months pregnant, and partly because we were excited.  I don't think I'll ever grow out of being excited on Christmas Eve...  I also haven't seen dawn in who knows when... I'm so not a morning person.  It was cool to be awake for it on Christmas morning:

The girls woke up before the sun as well and were too excited to go back to sleep.  They were up looking through their stockings and showing Jeff:

Amy, Ty, and Tylie came down not too long after that so we all went out to go through stockings with Shad.

Waiting to go up to see what else Santa brought:

A new bike!

Little buddies, most of the time ;)

We then headed over to the parent's house for breakfast and to open the rest of our Christmas.  It worked out perfectly, since Nikki, Spencer, and Jared all slept in, so we didn't miss anything with them- it was as if we'd slept there all along!

It's funny, Jeff figured out what it was before Shad, so his face was excited in the one above, and then Shad's in the one below:

Train!

Jeff had lots of help with his big one (pop-up soccer goal):

Playing with new toys:

We then all chatted with Alex in Chile:

Worn out from so much fun:

We opened presents with my family via Skype.  I wanted to see my brothers' reactions to their blankets and my parents to their birthday chart, my mom wanted to see my reaction to the doTERRA physicians kit and Modern Essentials book she got for us, and my brothers' wanted to see Shad's reactions.  It was fun!

Playing with homemade playdough, that didn't really turn out...

And the fun continues at home!

He loves this floor puzzle from Grandma Wright:

And crashed again, popcorn in mouth...

Merry Christmas!
