Last weekend after Ragnar Nick ended up having to leave a few of his things at the hotel in Vegas because they were in Joni's room (where we all crashed during the race) and they were still asleep when we left Sunday morning. Beckie brought his stuff with her when she came Sunday afternoon and she dropped them off at my house on her through. We decided a good way for Nick to get his stuff was to plan a dinner Friday night, which we offered to host since they wanted to come see our house finally. We also invited Dylan and Ali, since Jeff, Nick, and Dylan were all best friends in high school and they all wanted to see each other.
We had delicious potato bacon cheese soup in bread bowls, with salad, lemonade, and Leah's homemade apple pie with ice cream for dessert. It was fun to catch up and watch our kids interact.
