Being laid-off from a job for 4 or 5 months is bad enough, but having surgery and being stranded to the couch makes day to day life that much more boring and seemingly pointless. (You can only walk back and forth through the whole THREE rooms of your apartment while balancing on one foot for so long...)
Thanks to some thoughtful friends, I've been able to keep this boredom from getting too extreme...
MaShay let me borrow her case full of different TV shows on disc, so I've gotten re-addicted to 24. I've already finished season 1 and a third of season 2. (She has 1-5, and Rick just told me he has 6-7. Probably not the best way to spend my time, but oh well! Sweet!)
Thanks to my neighbor Ali, I've been able to keep my mind from going to mush with a few fun projects she provided.
She brought over a bag full of different colors of moldable clay, from which I made my first Nativity Set! (Thanks to her example of a cute Nativity she already made with the clay...)
She also brought over her boxes of cool beads she's collected over time, and I made a sweet bracelet!
Let me show you just how cool some of these beads are, and all my favorite parts of this bracelet:
Thanks Ali and MaShay for the entertainment!
If anyone else has any ideas to help while I'm all laid up, please speak up! I'm running out of ideas...

Get better soon! That's some major surgery. I can't believe your leg is wrapped up so BIG!
I'm kinda in the same boat--laid off--but at least I can move around! Try some new recipes if you can, learn some new tips and tricks about photography and your pp program, DIY projects, etc. Hang in there!
Hey Lindsay, email me your email address at arobbins@utah.gov so I can invite you to my blog.
I wish I could have you help me with my homework!!!!
Those worked out great!!!!! Glad that you are on your feet again!
