We have no idea how... but a squirrel got into our basement last week. It crawled around in our insulation, got into some of our food storage... and chirped REALLY loud when Ren and I got close to it. We borrowed a trap from Springville City Animal Control and caught it a few days later. Ren was REALLY curious about it... even got close enough to get his nose scratched. Once it was caught we took it up to the garage and Animal Control came and picked it up.
Once it was out in the sunlight we discovered that it was a female- and had just had a baby in our basement a few minutes before! I felt terrible... I don't want to know what Animal Control did with them... :(
