We've felt blessed and guided to have purchased the first infant car seat we got for Shad. It was rated for height, with 17% more leg room than standard car seats. We had no idea when we purchased it that our baby would be and stay between the 92nd and 99th percentiles for height throughout his first year! He would've grown out of a standard car seat much faster had we not purchased a bigger infant carrier.
But as time would have it, he has finally out grown his infant carrier car seat.
After doing a little research and talking to friends, we decided to purchase a Britax Roundabout 55 car seat for Shad's next few (hopefully) years.
So far it's been a great purchase. I think he really likes being able
to see more out the window and he stays a lot cooler in this summer heat without his carrier in the middle seat blocking the air
flow. Hopefully he continues to love it and does better on longer road
trips! (Crossing our fingers but not getting our hopes up on that
one...)
