Stepping Stones

I am an Achievement Days leader in my ward and get to work with the 11 and 12 year old girls.   Some of my favorite activities are the crafts and projects we get to do.  I think they love them too, along with cooking!

A few weeks ago we made some concrete stepping stones.   I actually really enjoyed it!

To make them we bought some ceramic plates from DI, and smashed them with a hammer.  We then mixed some concrete, sprayed some plastic trays (like garden pot bottoms) with cooking spray, and filled them with concrete.  We then placed the broken ceramic pieces in how we wanted, and just left them to dry and harden.  Super easy.  And once hard they just dumped right out of the plastic trays.  I love them!
