May: Flowers/ bushes that came back up this year, and our crazy fast growing tree:
Middle of June: We finally got our garden planted! Unfortunately, our June was unusually hot, like consistently in the hundreds toward the end of the month, so a bunch of our seeds didn't come up or survive the heat, but it was ok. With my being pregnant, I didn't have the energy or motivation to do my part on weeding and watering like I did last year...
This was supposed to be corn, broccoli, lettuce, and cucumbers. Only the corn and one cucumber plant came up:
This was supposed to be 3 kinds of tomato plants, carrots, onions, and peppers. The tomatoes, onions, and peppers were starts, and even then one tomato plant and one pepper plant didn't survive, and the onions didn't do so well either, so we gave them up to the weeds...
This box was butternut squash, cantaloupe, honey dew, and green onions. Everything came up and did well except the green onions.
Our raspberry plants that came back strong:
We decided to plant peas along the wall this year:
End of August. We obviously didn't keep up on the weeds very well at all this year...
Middle of September:
This tree is crazy!
Beginning of October. We had a cold spell near the beginning of the month which took out the squash and melons, but the peppers and tomatoes were still fine. We decided to pick everything a few days later before a few more freezing nights were on the way.
