I'm trying to keep up on my Shad posts. He is just about 2 1/2 right now... he is so full of life! I think this post will mostly just be a collaboration of pictures from the past few months... Enjoy!
Giving his babies a ride:
Eating broccoli...
Still a crazy sleeper...
I love the caved in lip! I haven't seen it in a while, but it reminds me so much of when we was a newborn!
Not willing to sleep in his bed, so he tried to lay down on the floor by Dad:
Stuck!
His favorite buddy, Dad.
.
Digging alphabet letters out from under the fridge...
Playing hide and seek with dad, and eating popcorn off the counter like gentlemen.
Watching the rain, or something interesting, out the window...
Going for a shovel ride...
Learning how to change the oil...
Building towers:
Swinging:
Stretching...
Reading...
Turbo rolls! (We had just taken him to see the new movie Turbo when we made these rolls one Sunday afternoon...)
Sleeping...
Whispering and laughing...
Those two really are the best of buddies! Shad just adores his dad.
Being silly in a box...
Still loving his peanut butter and nutella toast...
And still a messy eater...
Roly poly
Where's Shad?
With the encouragement of his cousins, he brought me a flower he picked from outside :)
Red light, green light with his cousins and Grandpa
Helping Mom vacuum...
Shad and his favorite, Mickey.
Ready to be out of his bed
Having a blast playing in the bubbles while I washed the car...
...and warming up afterward.
Just "relaxing" in his car seat, and dead asleep.
Hanging out at Grandma and Grandpas in his cool new soccer jersey we brought him from Mexico
Trying to stretch his gluts like mom...
and calves...
All bundled up...
Ready for a prayer! This is the face he often makes when we tell him to close his eyes...
Silly...
Making a "twain" out of letters... Thanks to the show Super Why he has also started recognizing letters!
Trying to get more rootbeer at a family party when we were in Mexico... ha ha.
Stretching with Mom:
Being introduced to Mac and Cheese... thanks Uncle Tanner...
Watching Dad grill out the window:
Life is rough when you're a toddler waiting at Cleggs for mom's car to get fixed...
Bath time bubbles...
Relaxing in the car...
I love how some toys can come back around and be exciting and educational in new ways!
"Mopping" for mom...
Reading Mickey a story...
He's in this making-faces-and-taking-pictures phase...
Trying on Mom's headband...
Showing Mickey where all the shapes are on the blanket...
Riding at sunset:
Helping Dad hoe in the yard...
Eating, and loving, peanut butter...
Ever since he discovered this apple peeler, he wants to peel one like everyday. Too bad he can't eat one a whole one everyday...
It sucks how 10 mins of silence when you're the parent of the toddler can in no way mean peace and quiet, it always means disaster... (Baby soap all over his bed and floor... awesome.)
So strong!
Super cool new shades.
"Mom! B, 8, 9!" This learning his letters and numbers phase is so funny, and so cute!
Smooshed at Costco...
He cuddled right up to me and fell asleep this day... I just had to document it.
Playing with chalk
I pulled his car seat out and ran inside, when I came back out, I found him just sitting here chillin, waiting for Jessica to come get us.
So strong!
Waiting for and watching trains! One of his new favorite pastimes... They come so frequently near out house that we're usually lucky enough to see one if we drive down and sit and wait under the 400 S overpass...
This is usually the result of the nap refusal... Crashing at the counter during an afternoon snack... For some reason eating makes him so tired!
Popcorn is still a big time favorite!
No hands!
Still loves going for jogs with mom!
Cuddling at bedtime:
Excited to help mom bake...
Monster slippers!
Getting out the peanut butter...
Playing at the park
Helping mom do chores:
Cheap ice cream cones at Macey's:
Sharing stickers from Nana with baby:
Awesome new "mimi" hat:
Totally my child- eating peanut butter on his banana:
All bundled for a Sunday evening walk:
When the nights started getting colder and we hadn't turned the heat on yet we had to get our slippers out. Now every time we do Shad wants me to take a picture...
Still loves bike rides too... Even if he falls asleep
His eyelashes have seemed extra long lately! I love it!
So big!
He organized these by color all on his own! Smart kid!
He has never been a cuddler, and he has fought naps pretty much since he turned 2, but this day he just crawled over, and passed out on my lap. I LOVED it!
Super Shad!
Practicing his speed around and around at Runner's Corner
Bath time with Tylie!
We had the bumbo out for Owen and he wouldn't let me put it away, he wanted to chill in it... What's funny is now that's he's taller, his legs fit in it again!
Oh, and he had to put on Dad's socks too... Such a funny kid!
