3 Months

At 3 months Shad is:

Sitting up in his Bumbo! His neck is much stronger, he just sometimes still curls over to one side or the other. I also think he's starting to discover his feet! When he's sitting up, especially in the Bumbo, he'll watch his feet and toes move.

He's going 8-9 hours at night without food! Although he won't sleep that long, unfortunately for me. He wakes up after 5-6 hours wanting his pacifier, and then again every 30-40 minutes until he wakes up for good. He's been sleeping in our room in his bassinet/play pen until last night!  He slept his first night in his crib and did really well! 
And he's starting into the funny sleep positions...

He is no longer a super clean baby like he was in the first 2 months! He spits up a little now, and along with his bubbles he drools like crazy. He also likes sucking on his fist, or Jeff's finger, which is hilarious to watch for some reason...
He is a little more cuddly now than he was as a baby, which I LOVE! He'll fall asleep in our arms now, rather than just wanting to be left alone.

He's enjoying his bouncer again, since he's discovered the animals and watches them wiggle as he wiggles. He's also cooing more and more, as well as in response to our talking to him and imitating his sounds, it's so fun. He's actually cooing to the animals in this picture:
We've been trying to put him on his tummy more since his second check-up, which he still pretty much hates. Though he's getting better at it and stronger, and can stand it longer if we put him on the footrest and sit in front of him.

People often comment on how strong he is.  He can support his own weight when we stand him up on our laps.  And in the past few weeks he's started to pack on the pounds.  He has a few rolls on his thighs now!  

And besides smiling more, he's smiling on cue- or in response to things we do to encourage it. We also think he's starting to laugh! Right now it's just an extended coo combined with a big smile, it's so funny! And makes us laugh even more.
