Babies by the Billions

You heard me, the billions...

Saturday Jeff and I spent the day cleaning our garage and painting the rest of our doors.  While we were at it, we re-painted our entry way where needed and scrubbed off our front door so it looked as close to new as we could get.

Jeff's co-worker stopped by a few hours later, and as he was leaving, we noticed our entry way floor looked like it was moving...

As we got down closer we discovered hundreds, thousands, maybe even millions of tiny red spiders, crawling ALL OVER our entry way floor, door, base boards, coat closet...

We immediately got the vacuum out and sucked up every one we could see.  We moved into the front room to get the stragglers that had already made their way around the room, and by the time we got back, the entry looked like we hadn't sucked any up!  They were everywhere, again!

We figured they were coming through a crack below the tall skinny window next to our front door, so I went outside and found twice as many swarming the outside, all over our porch and entry.

After sucking up all we could see inside for a second time, we LUCKILY had some indoor Raid, and we sprayed down the crack and edges of our door, as well as all over the exterior.  So much for a freshly painted clean entry way!  There were now moths getting stuck to the door and baby red spiders dying and piling up...

Needless to say, we invested in some caulk and had to re-clean our entry... at least the rain helped a bit...

There is nothing worse than spiders. I am surprised you haven't had nightmares!
