Wow this must be some kind of record for me for number of posts in one week!
One of my favorite parts of summer is all of the local cities and their "city days;" whether it's Provo's Freedom Fest, Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days, Lehi Round Up, Payson Onion Days, American Fork Steel Days, Orem Summerfest, or in the case of this weekend, Spanish Fork Fiesta Days. I love the atmosphere, all the events, and especially the rodeos!
We went last night to the first night of the Fiesta Days Rodeo and had a lot of fun! Neither of us had been to this rodeo before, and my pictures turned out way better than from the Lehi Round-Up Rodeo! Maybe that had something to do with the sun shining and no rain? (It was bloody hot till the sun went down...) And sitting high enough to avoid the fence being focused on in every picture...
Bareback Bronc Riding

(Favorite shot of the night)
Steer Wrestling

Rodeo Clown and his funny car

Team Roping

Us, of course

Saddle Bronc Riding

Sunset

Mutton Bustin'

The cute little girl who won the Mutton Bustin'... that trophy is almost as big as she is!

Tie Down Roping

Blake (I think) and his 2 Brahama Bulls

He taught it to jump through the burning ring of fire

"Trailer Race"
This was pretty funny- they had these teams pull in with truck and a trailered horse, and when he said go, they had to jump out, pull the horse out, saddle it, run a lap, pick up another rider, run another lap, unsaddle, trailer the horse, and get back in the truck. I don't know if the horses were only partially broke or if they were flustered, but it was way funny watching 4 guys try to saddle some of those horses...

Barrel Racing
(And I'm proud to claim rodeoing in my genes since my mom used to barrel race...)

And last but definitely not least, Bull Riding

Definitely a fun rodeo! Though the clown wasn't as good as Lehi's, it was a great rodeo; we had a lot of fun!

Those are some cool pictures! Wish I could be there. It looks like a ton of fun. We're missing the 'ol West!
