Tyce is eating baby food more regularly now. He is eating pureed fruits/ veggies, but doesn't like rice cereal. He will eat some of the multi-grain kind with jarred baby food mixed in, but still not as much as straight pureed. He likes all the fruit ones and sweet potatoes. He doesn't like greens, but if he hasn't already had something else and is hungry he'll eat a few bites before refusing more. He also is interested in everything we are eating! He does like little pieces of fruit like bananas, canned pears or sweet potato fries. He has almost figured out how to pick up snacks and get them in his mouth. He can get bigger objects like toys to his mouth, but not little ones yet. He also loves when we give him water out of the bottom of a straw, though he hasn't' figured out how to suck on a straw or use a sippy cup.
He is starting to sit for long periods of time, playing with toys, reaching for them and then sitting back up.
He gets slap happy and giggly sometimes before he falls asleep, especially in the halls at church. He has started getting distracted easily while breastfeeding, and likes sleeping in his bed. He has started showing a preference for me over other people
He is babbling like crazy! He has gotten up on his knees a few times, but doesn't stay up on them long. He still rolls well and maneuvers a little that way but I wouldn't say he's rolling around the room. He likes to watch Shad do whatever he is doing. He can be entertained or held off from eating with snacks, like Gerber puffs or small pieces of bread, which is so nice. He loves the bathrub and can finally sit steady enough for long enough to not need the baby tub. He love love loves to splash! He is getting better at riding in the stroller- he was never a bad passenger before, but lately if he's awake he is content to look around for awhile. He doesn't mind the grass on his legs like some kids do.
His hair is getting so long! And his eyelashes too, which of course I love. (I've got a thing for long, curly, eyelashes... in case you haven't figured that out yet.)
He is the best snuggler! I love getting him out of his crib. He usually grabs my face or neck or baby hairs on the back of my neck that hurt like crazy and then pulls my face to his mouth. Sooo cute. He still isn't on a schedule, but he generally goes to bed around 9:30-10pm and sleeps till 7ish, eats, and usually goes back to sleep until 9 or 10am. Lately he's been waking more during the night but I don't think it will last. Still no real signs of teeth coming in which I am totally ok with!
