Jeff got tickets to the BYU vs. Houston game, which happened to fall on 9/11. (Hence the flag earrings with my BYU shirt ;)
Cougars coming onto the field:
They unfurled this field-sized flag for the national anthem! So awesome.
They also did a patriotic halftime show. There is nothing quite like American spirit!! You could feel it coming from everyone, searing all throughout the stadium!
As part of the halftime show they helped surprise a family, who actually happened to be sitting in front of us, by bringing them down on the field for some other purpose and then having their husband/ father enter the field and surprise them with an early arrival home from deployment. I LOVE witnessing these experiences, the surprise, joy, and love, every single time.
It was a great game. I'm definitely proud to be an American. And we won 33-25! Go COUGARS!
