On Thursday Jeff had a soccer game with his indoor league team. Jeff's friend Cody, who is on his indoor team, and his wife Jessica invited us to go the REAL Salt Lake game with them afterwards. Rick also came up from Snow to play and then go to the REAL game with us as well. It was REAL's first game in their new Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy. We barely made it there, after Cody got injured in the soccer game, we had to stop and get crutches, the guys had to change their clothes, find a parking spot, catch the shuttle, find the right will-call ticket window... Plus we had some ridiculous problems with Rick's ticket being bought off the internet... (I do not recommend buying tickets from ticketliquidator.com by the way...) but we finally got in! The game was freezing, still way fun, and the new stadium is pretty sweet!

On Saturday we decided to go up the canyon with Cody and Jessica to see the fall leaves. We were originally going to ride the Sundance lift up and then bike down, but after Cody hurt his knee, that just wasn't going to work anymore. So we just drove the Alpine Loop instead, which turned out to be the best idea, as it was below freezing in the canyon! It was even snowing in some places! But it was beautiful!
I love taking fun pictures! Pictures like these are almost more fun to take than to look at... ;)
Jeff and I have sports passes this year so we can go to all the home BYU football games. So after driving the Alpine loop we headed over to the BYU stadium, fully equipped with multiple blankets, jackets, and coats... but it was still cold! I had 2 jackets, my winter coat, long snowboarding wool socks (thanks Brea!) and a blanket, and I was barely warm enough. But it was a good game anyhow! Our friends we bought tickets with weren't able to go, so Gan and her roommate came and used those extra tickets. It was fun to have her at a game again!

how do you always get such awesome pictures?! i love it when you look like you are jumping WAY into the sky. i think i am going to attempt to take some pictures like that some day... of course i'll probably just get the persons head lol.
that is so funny that we were so close at the game! i wished i had known. that game was sooo fun. looks as though you had a busy busy weekend. busy is good though when it is all fun and games :)
Hey Lindsey, I think we are really close to you too at the BYU games. We have almost that same view. We are in section 136. I think row 22. Where are you guys?
