We spent New Years Eve in Lehi playing games and having Nerf gun wars!
We went over to the rental property that Jeff's dad is remodeling and played various games with the nerf guns, like capture the flag and one-on-one wars.
Shad tried to get in on the action back at the house...
Tylie and especially Shad really enjoyed this huge teddy bear:
He also pulled all the letters off the fridge and shared Jeff's mini peppers. Who knew he'd like peppers?!
When midnight hit we were in the middle of a board game at the table and stopped to ring in the new year with sparkling cider and a kiss!
New Year's Day we came back up to Lehi for Jeff's cousin Sarah's missionary homecoming. We got to enjoy another Sunday full of extended family and games with the immediate family.
Monday we came back up to Lehi again to go shooting. A bunch of us headed out to the west side of Utah Lake to shoot. This picture doesn't really show it but there were a ton of people out! Understandably I guess, as a lot of people had the day off and it was almost 50 degrees... (We're the white truck...)
We took turns shooting their .22 rifles:
.12 gauge shotguns:
An old semi-automatic .22 pistol that was their Grandpa Christofferson's:
A 9mm handgun:
And this sweet old .30-06 rifle that we think may have been from WWI (?):
(Oh, and I hit my target around 300 yds away!)
That evening Jeff and I left Shad with some of the family so we could go out on a mini date to Applebee's to use our gift card. We then finished the night off with a movie at home.
We love family-packed weekends and were glad we were able to spend so much time in Lehi. Happy New Year!
